Saturday night fever (minus the disco lights)...

I love Saturday nights.  It's the night we usually deem "game night" or "movie night" or sometimes we just end up in the craft room.  LOL!  I don't know what it is, but I enjoy it.  Really... I do.  Not sure if it's the getting older factor or perhaps the fact that I just might be addicted to popcorn.  I mean, you do NEED to have popcorn on Saturday night.  Well... assuming you're at home, that is.  If I'm not at home, I guess a boatload of chocolate will suffice.  Heehee. 

I think by now you've figured out that the newest challenge at These Are A Few of My Favorite Things is your FAVORITE DAY OF THE WEEK.  And since we're talking about days of the week, I thought I'd use a sheet from my 8x8 SRM Stickers calendar as a background.  I made my own moon by cutting a circle with my circle punch & then I just hand-cut the rest until it looked like it was in a decent crescent shape.  (Shocking that I made a moon instead of a sun, eh?  Well, it is night-time, you know!)  I also snagged a card from our "80's Game" since that's the game we were playing in the photos...

And can I just say that Bob is so NOT amused that I used a photo of him wearing his reading glasses.  I said, "Well, that's how you look on game night... that's how you read the questions."  He said, "It makes me look old."  I said, "Well I know people younger than you that wear reading glasses."  He just shook his head.  I guess that would kind of stink if I wasn't in control of what photos went into the scrapbook.  Can't imagine the flattering photos he might choose of me.  LOL!

And speaking of Saturday nights, ours involved the movie Sideways.  We've seen it at least 4 or 5 times now, but it's always entertaining.  We also watched the movie Death at a Funeral on Friday night.  It was pretty funny & had a LOT of laugh out loud moments!  Tonight we're going to watch Seven Pounds.  I rented it to watch it last night, but since I'm pretty sure it's a major tear-jerker, I put it off until tonight.  Going to Zumba with swollen eyes on Monday morning will be so attractive... LOL

A little Christmas cheer...

Last night we attended a special Christmas performance involving 2 of the school's clubs... the dance club & the drama club.  Coincidentally, Bryn's involved with BOTH clubs, so she had to make a costume change back-stage in between shows.  The dance clubs performed first... 

... followed by the drama club (Bryn was Comet)...

Thankfully the "dollar bin" at Target had antler headbands a few weeks ago, so we were able to put together a costume.  Gotta love Target!  My parents & my sister were there to watch the show with us, as was Bryn's BFF, Madeline, who we brought along with us.  My parents & sister came back to our house afterward for some snacks & many laughs.  It  also started snowing last night, so we woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground.  It wasn't enough to stick to the streets (thankfully... I have no time to be stuck indoors now!), but enough to make it look pretty & Christmas-y outside...

After my Zumba class this morning, Bryn & I went to Target to buy some last-minute things like chocolates & gift cards.  I have a couple more things to get & I am officially finished with my Christmas shopping.  I also have most of what's already purchased wrapped & under the tree.  

Bob just took Bryn to my parent's house.  They are taking her & her cousin to the symphony tonight for a special Christmas performance & then keeping them overnight.  So, Bob & I are going out.  We have dinner reservations booked, a room booked Downtown, & if it works out... we may just see The Blind Side tonight, too.  Have heard nothing but GREAT things about that movie.  I did hear it was a tear-jerker though, so if we see it, we're seeing if AFTER dinner.  I don't need to be at a nice restaurant with mascara all over my face!
