A wise man, who worked for quite a few years in TV news production once told me that if you don't tell your story, someone else will tell it for you.
I wanted to publicly address the word on the streets, since I've had quite a few friends reach out over the past couple days. And thank you, by the way, for your concern and words of encouragement.
It means the world to me!
But the rumors are true, I am off the schedule and no longer teaching at Bloom.
It was a decision that I made after a series of events over the past month and a half, and not a decision made in haste or without a lot of thought and prayer.
It is not the end of my teaching career, and as with every redirection or new chapter in my past 11 years of teaching, I am truly looking forward to what comes next and building something new again.
I am very proud to have been part of what we've accomplished at Bloom over the past 6 1/2 years since the doors opened, and no doubt Bloom will continue blooming as their own new chapter begins.
I'm especially proud of how our current team helped the business survive the chaos of 2020. Those amazing women I've locked arms with, are each so incredibly passionate about what they do and how they lead others. They are an endless source of inspiration for me, and it has been an honor to work alongside all of them.
More than anything, it has truly been an honor to be part of the Bloom community... as an instructor, but also simply as someone who's enjoyed being part of such a cool atmosphere of women with similar goals of wellness and positivity. It has been my home away from home and I know many would agree and say the same for themselves.
I have the most gratitude though, for all those who've been so dedicated to showing up for my classes over the years. I couldn't have done a thing without you. YOU are the reason I love my job... your smiles, your energy, your effort, your willingness to show up and work, your willingness to laugh or just let go... it makes for an amazing and supportive atmosphere that is indescribable and brings great joy to my life!
YOU ROCK BIG TIME!
I've made so many friendships over the years, and some of my closest friends and confidants would've never been in my life if it weren't for this crazy gig. I am forever grateful and blessed.
Strangely enough for the first time ever with a job ending, I'm very much at peace with where I am and where I'm going.
Where I'm headed remains to be seen, but I'm old enough to realize that a new chapter begins with a willingness to turn the page.
In the meantime... keep it moving, keep it positive, keep sweating, and keep putting yourself at the top of your "to-do" list.
YOU matter.
Your health and your physical and mental wellness matters more than anything else in your life!
XOXO
Hi Deanna, I can only imagine how you felt (and looked ) 🥲 writing this post! I am so sorry you are going through this! I just left a job after 5 years that I loved and was really good at and had an ugly cry writing my resignation letter. After a series of events I knew It was time to go! I hate to admit I have been grieving the loss of that job for the past few months! I remind myself everyday that I have “a village” ( friends and family) behind me with love and whatever support I need. I believe you are blessed with that also (including the cute videographer who appears to always have a smile on his face)😊. I wish you luck in your next adventure and will keep you in my prayers!
❤️
