So.... Bryn got her wisdom teeth removed yesterday.  As per her request ahead of time, I videoed the drive home which, by the way, was hilarious.  I mean... hard not laugh hilarious.  Poor baby. 

I tried to avoid laughing in the car because I didn't want to start her crying again like she did in the recovery room.  Her dad & I were both there for the 30-minute surgery.  When we got called back into the recovery room, we were hit with a LOT of follow-up care recovery info.  I imagine we were both nervous about her condition & trying to listen as intently as possible, both hoping that between the 2 of our can't-remember-shit-diseased brains, we'd get the info correct.  So the nurse ends all of the info with something like... just drop off the prescriptions, go get a milkshake or a smoothie while you wait & then give her the meds when she gets home... any questions?

Bob says... "Uh sorry, I guess I got hung-up on the smoothie part & didn't hear what you said after that." 

So I burst out laughing & say, "He must be hungry."

At which point, Bryn got mad & shook her head & started crying. 

So I'm like... oh my gosh that can't be good for her mouth & teeth... we're just being idiots & she's 3-sheets to the wind & doesn't get the humor in ANY of this.  Nor does she understand our being overwhelmed with too much info (it wasn't quite as short & sweet as I depicted above), so I say... "oh, sweetie, it's ok... everything is ok"  & the nurse says... "don't worry this is a totally normal response to be crying." 

 

So... let's just say it was really difficult to not laugh during this video, even though I did a couple times.   And there's a 2nd video too which took place after I got back in the car with the smoothies, but it's really just more of the same hilariousness so I won't bore you with both. 

 

And as a side-note since you'll likely wonder who the hell he is... "Cleetus McDuffy" is a character in a stupid funny YouTube video we watched when she was a lot younger & I was in the thick of my scrapbooking life.  The husband of a well-known scrapbooker made a mockery type video of the craziness that went on in the scrapbooking world back in the day.  It was hilariously on point & I think it's even more hilarious that he came to mind in Bryn's brain somehow yesterday. 

 

Anyhoo... she's doing well so far & is totally back to "normal" now.  Just about as normal as her mother...
