"I see your true colors shining through... "

 

Sometimes I'll randomly start singing songs in my head.  There's pretty much a lyric that can be applied to everything in life as far as I'm concerned. 

Which is why I use a lot of lyrics for blog post titles, as you may have noticed. 

I may not be able to remember what I needed once I get to the grocery store, but that's probably because my head is filled with too much other useless information... like song lyrics for instance. 

 

In my next life, I WILL be the lead singer of a band.  LOL

 

Cyndi Lauper sings about seeing true colors.  Do you ever wish sometimes people could just keep things more black & white & mayyybe a little grey in between, rather than give you a 120-count multi pack of craziness?  Like the box says... "Surprise inside"

 

Yep.  There's a surprise alright...

 

I do love lots of color for art though. 

I tend to be attracted to bright colors & fun patterns when it comes to scrapbooking. 

I love pops of color in room decor.  Neutral room... plus pops of color & pattern. 

Bryn must have similar taste too.  I mean, duh.  She is growing up with me.  Poor thing. 

Recently she made these 2 canvases for her bedroom wall.  Just 2 blank canvases + a little paint.  Both were inspired by art or quotes on Pinterest.  All I could say when she showed me was "WOW!  I love it!"  She seriously amazes me...

Here's the inspiration I showed Bryn from Pinterest.  And by the way, when I clicked on the link to the actual image, it was for sale for a whopping $6,000.  Granted it's a pretty large canvas, but still...

She found this next image & used it for the other canvas.  Coincidentally I had the exact same quote, with a different image, pinned.  Great minds think alike...

Maybe I'm partial but I like her version of it better. 

 

Okie dokie then.  Off to hit the treadmill & move on with this rainy day.  And if the sun ever comes out, maybe we'll even see a rainbow.  Another mix of color that I like...
