I love my 2 God-given sisters so much. So incredibly blessed at the closeness we share(d)... since just being sisters by blood doesn't guarantee you're actually friends who really love being in each others company.
I may have had a couple "soul sisters" prior to my own sister passing away... and she was definitely a best friend.... but it wasn't until after she passed that I truly believed she was bringing more "sisters" into my life.
Yes... open hearts & similar interests attract like-minded awesome people.
And it takes being a good friend, to have good friends.
But I have to wonder if there's not some other force involved... like my sister's guidance for what I need. For WHO I need.
Some soul sisters play a role in a chapter of your life.
Some are there calling, texting & inviting when they really don't have to, but they're just cool like that. And you haven't even known them that long. It's just that there's an instant connection. So thankful.
We all have points in our life where we go through big changes or traumatic events... whether in careers, marriage, death, children... it's a turning point.
It means a lot to be able to be there for a friend going through what life brings them. To help someone mend a broken spirit or to be the encouragement they need to take a leap of faith.
And it means just as much to have that support returned.
Thankful every single day for all my sisters.
Having a lot of friends in my life is an incredible blessing. And I have my job to thank for so many of them.
But having a few I know I can count on, no matter what, means the world to me...
Glad for the opportunity to have met you, have a wonderful Christmas!q
