Saw an interesting list the other day via the Apartment Therapy blog [10 Things Productive & Organized People Do Before Noon].
When people ask me for advice about losing weight... 2 things I always suggest are DRINK MORE WATER & DO NOT SKIP MEALS... ESPECIALLY BREAKFAST!! Love that both are included on a list of things productive & organized people accomplish before noon!
And speaking of breakfast, since the article mentions that 31 million people SKIP breakfast every day (seriously???!!), I've got a great solution that will give you all the nutrients you need with a quick on-the-go prep time.
Throw a packet in your purse with a bottle of water. Shake it up & drink it.
BOOM. DONE. Breakfast checked off the to-do list.
Pumpkin Spice & everything nice. That's what fit girls are made of. LOL
Annnnnd... it's a limited time flavor... a flavor I'd say most people love in the fall & winter. So don't hesitate on this one! I recently tried using this with my protein ball recipe & it's REALLY GOOD!!!
Of course you already know I love all things chocolate, so there's several more flavor choices here.
And I realized I do almost all of the things on the article's list except avoiding digital distractions before noon. I kinda do that the minute I wake up.
What can I say except I can except I can't always be expected to be productive. LOL
Speaking of the shakes though... I saw another way to use them on AdvoCare's Instagram account the other day.
With the holidays approaching, here's a quick & easy way to make a dessert that doesn't pack on the extra calories that most holiday treats do!
Pumpkin Apple Crumble
2 whole apples, cored & chopped
1/4 cup old fashioned oats, raw
1 Pumpkin Spice Meal Replacement Shake package
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 cup slivered almonds or chopped nuts [optional]
1/2 teaspoon vanilla [optional]
1-2 teaspoon honey [optional]
Place chopped apples in microwave for 3 minutes, stirring halfway through until apples cooked to desired texture. In separate bowl, mix oats, shake, cinnamon & nuts (if using). Add apples to dry mixture, along with vanilla & honey (if using). Makes 6 servings.
Bring on FALL, y'all! Enjoy your weekend!
YUM!!! So far ... I have lost 9.5 pounds (yikes! I was hoping it'd be more by now! LOL!) .. but I can tell I have gone down in inches, as the clothes are fitting better -- I tried on a pair of pants the other day that I haven't been able to wear in 2 years and they were BIG on me!!!! :) I am still going to the Y 3x's a week, using 'my fitness pal' on my phone to count my calories and wearing my fit bit everyday :) little by little, I am getting there :)
