If you're friends with me on Facebook, you've already seen photos from our weekend in Denver. We left on Good Friday (the first day of Bryn's "spring break") and came home last night. It was a family vacation involving us & my parents visiting my sister, who's lived there for almost a year now. Downtown Denver, where she lives, pretty much ROCKS. I can now understand what she loves about living there. It kind of reminds me of New York, in that you can walk everywhere. Our whole point in going was because March 31 (Easter Sunday) marked 11 years since my other sister passed away suddenly from menengitis. And this was the first year Easter was on March 31 again, as it was the day she passed away. It was an AWESOME weekend. So much fun together, so many laughs, a few tears & the most incredible sunrise service I've ever seen at Red Rocks Amphitheater. It was a blessing to be able to spend the weekend with them. I'm so thankful.
And my welcome back home was a last minute request to sub the 5:30am Zumba class this morning after our flight landed last night at 8pm. It was FUN though & I'm glad I did it. No rest for the wicked!
Another thing you may have seen already on Facebook is this letter I found on our printer one morning... a letter Bryn wrote to Harry Styles (you know... One Direction... and the guy I guess everyone is in love with... including my daughter apparently.)
Well I mean, not EVERYONE is in love with him. Personally I think he's kind of a dork.
Anyway... I wanted to save the letter. And rather than just throw it in a box with all her other school stuff I'm saving from this year, I thought I'd add it to the scrapbook. The photo was taken while we were shopping one day... before the letter was written... but it worked perfectly with the content of the letter...
The fun chevron background paper is Simple Stories Vintage Bliss. I bought a few pieces of patterned paper from that collection recently. I'm not usually drawn to anything "vintage" in scrapbooking, but this collection has some fun colors & patterns. I also added some random extras on the page that matched...
Did you read the letter? It's pretty funny.
What am I gonna do with that crazy kid?
Glad you had fun in CO!! Love love love your lo!! I remember that letter....Your lo is tooooooooo cute and LOVING that photo!!

I'm so glad you were able to spend the weekend with your family together. What a wonderful way to celebrate Easter and your sister.
The letter is hilarious! And at least it gives you good scrap material :)

I'm glad you had such a wonderful Easter getaway with your family. I LOVE Denver and would probably live there if I weren't in AZ.
And, seriously, that letter freaking cracks me up! :)
