Lots and lots of rain around here lately. Lots of tornado sirens too. As I mentioned the other day, Good Friday was a major bad weather day. There was some pretty extensive tornado damage in an area not far from home, as well as in the area where Bob's office is located. Bob said "it looks like Ground Zero" over there. Very sad for all those that lost their homes & possessions. Bryn, who is ordinarily not hip on storms anyway, was particularly freaked out on Friday night and didn't leave my side for a second. I wanted to create a page recalling the feeling of her huddled up next to me on the couch that night... her entire body shaking & her teeth chattering loudly. I felt so bad for her...
The coiled bakers twine was placed to mimic the look of a tornado. While I have used many a cloud & raindrops on my pages before, the idea for the raining hearts came from my fellow Nikki Sivils' designer, Jennifer Yates. Check out her blog. She never ceases to inspire & is particulary good at 2-page layouts. LOVE her style. I also added google eyes to my turtle and Glossy Accents to his rainboots & umbrella...
The page was made using the adorable It's Raining, It's Pouring line from Nikki Sivils... one of my favorites. And it really is... raining & pouring around here still. It's getting a bit old. Hoping that May bring lots of sunshine. I have many, many plans coming up next month!

LOVE that use of twine, very very clever, though... perhaps you should consider conserving some, you might run out!!!

I can't believe the number of storms hitting already this year. I'm glad you're all safe and sound.
The papers work perfect for the layout, as does your adorable tornado. You always come up with the best ideas for scenes :)
