Our weekend was a busy one! Thanksgiving morning began with a special Zumba class at the Y. There were about 60-70 people that showed up for it. It was soooo FUN! Then we were quickly off to my parent's house for lunch...
It snowed during lunch. It was just a dusting, but fun to see that out the window while we were eating.
Bob's sister & her husband joined us, as they were in town to help move their dad's things from the assisted living facility, back to his old house.
We were also glad to see Sydney for a little while that day, too!
On the way home, we stopped to see Bob's dad at the nursing home. He has a nightly ritual he's adopted... a walk down the hall to get an ice cream cone from the on-site ice cream parlor. I can't say I blame him. It looked pretty yummy!
Friday began with my interval class at the Y. This time there were only 6 people in class. I don't do Black Friday unless it's online & I did do a bit of that. We were also able to get most of the Christmas decorations out that day. That night I had my annual Tree of Friends party with all my college friends. It's been at least 15 years of this tradition & most years it's the only time I see these girls unfortunately. It was fun though & there were lots of laughs as always...
On Saturday, we got up & ran. Then I finished up a page for the SRM Stickers + Cosmo Cricket blog hop that will happen on Wednesday. I'm still loving Glossy Accents...
Bryn had a birthday party to attend on Saturday night at a roller skating rink, so Bob & I grabbed a quick dinner together while she was there. The food was mediocre & the wine list stunk, but it was a mini date night so you take what you can get! Went home & watched a few old episodes of Glee with some popcorn after Bryn went to bed.
Today the only 2 things on my to-do list were to run & then to get a family photo for the Christmas cards. The family photo turned out to be a complete disaster though. Bob was annoyed that it was taking us (Bryn & me) too long to get ready. And then after I was ready, Bryn was STILL doing her hair. Then she started crying about her hair because she "really wanted to wear it up in a bun," which really annoyed Bob. Clearly he must've forgotten that he lives with 2 females & Bryn's hair issues are just beginning! I tried to difuse the situation because a face full of tears & snot just wasn't going to cut it for the Christmas cards. So we took a break before we even got started to get a drink of lemonade, blow our nose a few more times & wipe away more tears... ie... more waiting on us. Do you see where this is going?
I took this shot in the midst of a handful of timer shots just to give you the full effect of our Merry-freakin'-Christmas photo shoot.
Now let's all act like we're a happy family! Cheese!
All of the shots turned out blurry, so I probably won't use any of them. I wanted to take these outside but it was way too windy today. Wind plus already crying about hair... not good. And since no one seemed to be amused by this photo shoot, I dared not continue on for a non-blurry timer shot. Next time I'm just going to spend the money to have someone else take the dang photo. LOL!
Always fun to hear the story behind the photo, eh? Life is not perfect, but it's still good! Love those two SO MUCH!

I want to try Zumba because I love to dance. :)
But right now my physical therapist says I have to stick with walking. Hills are good for working up a sweat.
Have a GREAT weekend!
