This Crate kit was sent to me with my October HIP 2B SQUARE kits. I almost started jumping up & down when I saw it. It was a GREAT package to come home from Arizona to, as I had been meaning to go buy some of this new Crate line...
I made 4 layouts, 4 cards & a mini accordian album for the little tin case that's included. I can't say enough, how FUN this kit is!
For this layout I used one of Bryn's new school photos. I usually never have any use for the huge 8x10 print that's included, so this year I decided to scrap it. I cropped the width of the photo down a bit to better fit all my embellies on the page. The "scallops" on the side were made by punching 4 circles. I inked the edges to define it a little more & stitched over it all when I machine stitched my border in red. I wanted a defined area in which to put all my embellies & journaling about who she is & what's she likes as a 3rd grader...
More machine stitching here & used the contact sheet size prints along with a 5x7 photo...
This was really just a for-FUN layout. I used Bryn's 60-piece marker set & wrote all the things I'm loving right now in rainbow order + more contact sheet size photos...
Finally scrapping these photos from my sister's birthday in May. The red burlap was fun to use! I was unsure how best to adhere it, so I just machine stitched over it in red. Notice the red machine stitching for all the layouts? I'm lazy when it comes to changing the thread on the machine, what can I say?
... and my 4 cards...
I loved this kit SO MUCH that I called Kimberly & ordered some more items from this kit to use for a RAK! With Thanksgiving coming up, it seemed like an appropriate time to do a give-away. I certainly am thankful for all the sweet friends I have met through this blog! To be in the running, just leave me a comment telling me something funny. I don't care what it is, just make me laugh. And here's a hint... I laugh at everything, so this should be easy. I'm going to leave this contest open until Friday, as my products won't arrive until next week. So, I can't send them out until I get them!
If you're interested in this kit or any other fabulous HIP 2B SQUARE kit, contact Kimberly!
Tomorrow I'll post my mini accordian album that I made with this kit! Happy Monday!
Oh my goodness..where do you find the time to make all this gorgeous, gorgeous stuff????Please send me some of that time ;)
LOVE your layouts and cards...just wow!Love that photo of Brynn and I love your stitching...I am just as lazy when it comes to changing the thread..so I just add colors on my LO's that matches the thread thst happens to be on the machine ;)
Have a wonderful week ahead!

Ohhhh Deana, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your projects!!!!! And I LOVE that kit!!! It's such a pity that the shipping is always so expensive for us here in Europe....
I think it's GREAT you're doing a Give Away!!! Think I'm going to send you a joke every day, because I want to win!!!!!!!! Lol!
Here's no. 1:
The teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with this see-through blouse on and no bra. Her grandmother just pitches a fit, telling her not to dare go out like that! The teenager tells her "Loosen up Grams. These are modern times. You gotta let your rosebuds show!" and out she goes.
The next day the teenager comes downstairs, and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on. The teenager wants to die. She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate...
The grandmother says, "Loosen up, Sweetie. If you can show off your rosebuds, then I can display my hanging baskets."
(.......)
Did I see a smile?????

You are an amazing scrapper - you create such totally cool layouts and you are totally up to date - and you can really work the kits!!!!!! I can't top Jenneke's joke but since you and Bob like college football, here's a funny story about Dan, Brian, and me. One Saturday many years ago we were driving in Jacksonville, and it was the day of the Florida-Georgia game which is always played in Jax. It was a stunning day and we saw a little plane flying around and it started to emit smoke letters D - A -W and Dan said what in the world can he be spelling??? Brian was so disgusted - Dawgs! So now we always tease Dan that he can't spell - and especially when GA games are on tv. Have a great Thanksgiving!

It's time for another joke:
A father-to-be gets into a panic when his wife suddenly goes into labor. He calls up the local hospital and appeals for immediate help: “Er...this is an emergency…we need an ambulance right away...the contractions keep coming every two minutes!”
“Is this her first child?” enquires the nurse.
“No, it’s her husband, you idiot!”
Lol???
