No school today through Sunday, so it seemed that another Girls Day Out was in order!
Unfortunately, in the meantime, Bob's dad had to go back into the hospital 2 days ago (after just being released a few days earlier for his legs) for ANOTHER reason... this time colon problems. We're still waiting to hear if he needs surgery or not. His sister came in town from Kansas, since she has a few days off from teaching this week because of Thanksgiving. So, we're really glad to have her staying with us, but not so glad to hear about his dad. He's just miserable, poor guy.
So, while Jeanie's at the hospital & Bob is running to his dad's home over an hour away to meet with a sales rep about a new adjustable bed for him + going to the office + going by the hospital... Bryn & I started our day at the Y for my Spin class. Then we came home, quickly got ready & headed to the mall for a little holiday shopping & lunch.
This is what happens when the camera is facing the sun. The good news is that we actually had some sun today though!
First stop... lunch. Hmmm, let me think... where might it be?
We each ordered salads & then we were off to shop. Did you know that Williams Sonoma carried Sprinkles cupcake mixes? Yummo! I didn't buy any because Bryn can't eat them since they're mixed with eggs & let's just say we just don't need a bunch of cupcakes in the house for me to eat all by myself. But... good to know! And how cute are those cannisters?
We managed to get a few people checked off the Christmas list and even had time to stop by Justice... only for a headband though. Mommy doesn't buy stuff for Bryn right before Christmas...
It is scary how much the girl loves to shop. I told Jeanie last night that "I guess there are worse things to pass on to your daughter." She concurred.
I have a few things to prepare tonight for Thanksgiving tomorrow (like a pumpkin ice cream pie... made with soy ice cream so Bryn can enjoy it, too!) and then we're meeting Bob & his sister at a restaurant for dinner. Yay for no cooking tonight...
Soooooooooooooooo sorry to hear about his Dad :( Hope everything turns better soon! :) loveeeeeeeeeeeeee the photos! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

A mother/daughter shopping day, can it be better??? LOVE to see your photo's!!
Wishing Bob's dad all the best!
And....did you've had your laugh today???
'An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen.
The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, "Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly".
The other man said, "What is the name of the restaurant?"
The first man thought and thought and finally said,
"What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... the one that's red and has thorns."
"Do you mean a rose?"
"Yes, that's the one," replied the man.
He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled,
"Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?'
Lol.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
