Finished up the last 3 days of my December Daily...
I am so glad I kept up with this project. I will definitely be doing this again next year! You can see the book in it's entirety here.
I was reading the latest issue of In Style magazine the other day & got inspired to do a little reorganizing in my closet...
Filled up 2 trash bags full of clothes & shoes to either give away or put in the next garage sale + a few handbags & some old hats. The other day, Olivia (5 years old) said to me, "Deana... you're wearing high heels again?!" I said, "Yes, Olivia, unless I'm exercising, I'm usually wearing high heels." And that becomes pretty obvious when you see the shoes in my closet... not a lot of flats for this girl.
So, in this article, they showed a cute litle drawer pull that you could hang on the wall of your closet to use as a decorative knob.
So, inspired, I ran out to Target that day & purchased a pink one (Bryn insisted I get pink, even though what I really wanted was green). I have to say, there are times when I question why I take fashion advice from a 7-year old... but moving on...
Suffice it to say that when I got this idea, I wasn't really thinking about the fact that a drawer pull screw head cannot go into the wall until I got in there with my hammer. Thankfully I'm married to a man who's good with tools (there's probably a joke in there somewhere) & he snapped off the head with the pliers. He did say you can buy screws with no head, but I would take the drawer pull with you so you can buy the right size screw.
Moving on (again)... found this site when paging through the Scrap N Art ezine yesterday & just ordered a wall decal for the craft room. A tree is what I really wanted, but I ended up going with a quote. Just thought the tree would be too busy on that wall next to the chair...
The good news is, it's totally removable, so I can always get the tree or something else if I need a change!
Wowwww Deana....those shoes...incredible!!!!!!!!!
So many!!!!!!! It's almost a complete store, hihi..
Ohh, I would love to have such a closet...
And is the room with the pink walls your scrapping-room?? It looks so GREAT!!
How nice that you give us a peek in your house, I love that.
It's saterdaymorning, 07.30 and I'm going to take my breakfast.
Have a very nice day!!!!

OMG! I love your closet! I'm a closet type of girl, 'ya know! My dream is to have a really large walk-in-closet one day. Yours looks so neat and organized! I love the knob, too. Great idea. And the quote is a good choice for that space in your craft room. You got great taste girl. Ohh, I want to see it when you put it on the wall! Have a beautiful day!

I love it - out with the old! There was a project where someone used a wooden cutlery organizer and drawer pulls to hang jewelry, but I keep thinking necklaces seem longer than knives/spoons/forks. I like where yours are hanging. I have something like that inside a bathroom closet.
