Ok so it's been a few days. Or actually it's more like 6 days, but I've been a bit busy.
Since I last blogged on Wednesday... I got food poisoning that night from some local carry-out. Fabulous way to get absolutely no sleep AND lose 5 lbs overnight. Fabulous! Or not...
Got up Thursday morning & texted another instructor to beg her to teach the Zumba class for me that I had already committed to sub as I really thought the ER might be a better spot for me than the Y. She was also out of town though. Yay for me! So I got out of bed & prayed that I could make it through class without running into the bathroom. Somehow I did. I am a professional, you know. LOL Went back home & layed down again before I had to get ready to leave by 2:30 for the aiport.
Bad timing for food poisoning.
Lived on mostly Sprite that day trying to settle my stomach. My mom & I made it to Vegas that night to meet up with my sister, who had already arrived before us. We headed straight up to our hotel room to drop off our luggage & my mom proceeded to promptly kick over my sister's $16 champagne drink she had just brought up from the pool & set on the floor.
The first of many "party fouls" from the weekend.
Aside from the first night when I was a party pooper (literally... LOL) & headed up to bed after dinner while they stayed out to party & gamble for a couple more hours, the weekend was a freakin BLAST! We had SO much fun and so many laughs. It was the absolute BEST. I'm going to have to hurry up & do something with all my photos so I don't forget all the funny stories from the weekend that I want to remember.
It was a weekend that came full circle... starting off with electrolytes & Tums after the food poisoning and then ending up with more electrolytes & Tums before boarding a way-too-early flight on Sunday morning after only 4 hours of sleep.
It is the city that never sleeps, you know!
I demand a re-do! I wasn't ready for the weekend to end! But it was back to work on Monday... my favorite day... teaching Zumba! Love it!!!
Have a GREAT week, everyone!
